Went there last night...great margaritas...great chicken fajitas...great chips and salsa and refried beans...
32 years been going here...
Just try this neighborhood La Jolla...a 5 minute walk to WindnSea Beach..

Looks like some folks strongly dislike this place. Is it the best Mexican food place you'll ever have? No. The best tortillas? No. Would I go out of my way to go here? No.
However, if you want a family style restaurant, with fast service, not overly packed, with decent Mexican food, this is your place.
Yes, the enchiladas are bland- dont order them. Unless you're in the mood for bland which honestly sometimes I am! I like the green Enchiladas.
The margaritas are strong... and the staff is friendly. We like the overall family vibe of the place, the fact that it's only a few miles from our home and that you can get seated in less than 15 min's. -

This place is the most disgusting Mexican food I've ever had in my life!!!
This is NOT authentic Mexican. Their tortillas are all store bought.
The food was cool to touch and bland beyond belief!! It tasted like they took food out of a can, labelled "enchiladas", and dumped it on your plate.
The margaritas were also supposed to be the best in La Jolla. DISAGREE... it's juice mix that they dump in with tequila. It's super sugary/syrupy.
Our bill was $60 for two, which isn't bad from a price point... but is definitely up there for the worst spent money to date, in my life.
I did see them making guacamole at another table and that is probably the only way I'd even consider going back to this place.
Save yourself a trip and some money and go to the Taco Stand instead. That place is WAYYY better. -

Su Casa (fortunately) refuses to die. The building was sold more than a year ago and the restaurant was supposed to close long ago, but it continues to do what it does best: whip up some really good margaritas and their freshly made guacamole.

Love this authentic Mexican restaurant! Always wonder service and staff is so polite. Food is truly delicious and really taste like a home cooked meal. Sad to see it so slow in here when they have so much to offer!
